I can't believe I'm tagging myself in ; no compulsion, yet tagging myself in ??. Has the romantic in me suddenly come alive ?. If I were to ask this question of my dear wife, her prompt reply would be ' Not a chance, Not in a million years, don't even entertain such thoughts you moron, there isn't a romantic streak in you, It must be the early morning blues, nothing else, drink your coffee and you will feel normal '. Now that settles it, no questions asked. Boss is always right , has been my motto of 13 years and it has served me well.I ain't going to dispute with the boss after all these years.
Now let me get to the job at hand. I committed harakiri by sending this song to my fiance(now my wife of 13 years).I was such a fool back then (when the romantic buy bites, men aren't known to do better) .A grave mistake by any stretch of imagination, albeit now a little too late to repent to have sent this somg in particular. I recorded this song , just this song on 90 minute cassette with a couple of lines in my young baritone voice to please and win her over. She for her part has made me play this song over and over again, ever since. Unfortunately , for me , I get this feeling that it has been on a continous play ever since .
This song (O meri Soni ..... deewane se ho gayi galati jaane do yaar) will go with the theme of Shiqwa / gila , a duet from the movie Yaadon ki Baarat. Exceptionally well sung by Asha and Kishore , set to tune by the only and only R.D.Burman .
Another lovely duet from an old film , TajMahal , a very soft romantic number ,an eternal favourite of mine. I'm a self confessed Kishore Kumar fan , but this one by Rafi is a classic. I haven't chosen the more popular Jo vaada kiya wo , as per the rules ,anyway my favourite remains Pao Choo lene do .
Now a couple songs that goes with the theme of Pyar ka tarana.
Another Kishore, Asha + R.D.Burman classic from the movie Kaalia, one of my favourites. With Amitabh acting it out on screen with the beautiful Parveen , it doesn't get any better.
Another absolutely marvellous romantic track from the same combination of Kishore , Asha and R.D.Burman , the movie this time is Sitamgar, sheer magic .
Now these songs has got me into a romantic mood , son has already left for school , that leaves just my boss and me , hmmm do I bunk ?, let me ask the boss. My boss at work wouldn't mind it a bit , hmmm let me think of a good excuse so that my wife will have me home :P.
P.S. I know the last date was 15th , but it is still 15th else where in the world , so on that technicality ,i hope my entry will be accepted.

Hi Scribby,
Thanks for dropping by and liking the songs.I have to agree with u on both scores, Yaadon ki Baraat had a memorable score by R.D.Burman, and Vijay Aurora just about passes , it the music and Zeenat's exhuberance that sees the song through.
